ARCC DIRT vol 1
Greetings all,
We’ve been making steady progress on the RC buggy track. The track was cleared and now is subject to ongoing maintenance and improvement.
Improvements include: new stairs for the drivers stand, course marking cones and flags and signage have been added. (See below). Some additional items to be addressed include spraying for poison ivy and marking out more of the infield area with black tubing.
It is great to hear and see members using the track. If you haven’t been out yet, please be sure to give it a try.
If you are considering adding a buggy to your RC fleet there are good ones available on Amazon and at Great Hobbies in the $200 range – 1/12 and 1/14 scale examples that have been used on the track are shown below. There are a couple of others as well. We will be sharing some views of their performance in a future email.
Ideally we will establish a preferred car for the club so that those that wish to compete are running a standard formula. More work to be done on this.
